Death, Love and Guinness

Scouser Charles Smith is at a loss. He’s stuck in a dead-end job, going through a separation, and left with very little money. When he receives news that he has inherited a local pub in County Donegal from a relative he’s never heard of, he believes his problems have been solved. Without a second thought, he packs his bags and leaves to make his fortune in Ireland.

But when has anything ever been straightforward between the Irish and the English? The pub is more than a little run-down. Three strange nuns keep appearing, then disappearing. The barmaids are all conspiring against him, and one keeps going out the back to “check on her guns.” Is he ever going to learn to pronounce Niamh? And why is there a dead body in the middle of the pub?

It seems like no one wants another English invasion.

Death, Love and Guinness is an Irish black comedy about death, finding home, and learning to understand each other despite our differences. If you enjoy good craic and are partial to a pint of Guinness (or a Guinness Zero…..depending on your persuasion), come to find out if we can ever settle our differences.
